"The Battered Women"
Lord who is she
going to run too?
Where is she
going to hide?
Who is going
to protect her?
If he won't let
her go outside.
He said that he
was going to kill her.
Lord what is
she going to do?
The only hope that she has,
is that she has to call on You.
He made her a promise,
that she would never leave.
But You said that You would make a way for her,
if she would only believe.
God I know that it must hurt You,
when he is beating on Your child.
Maybe he would stop beating on her,
if someone would pray "for him" for just a little while!
Lord please help the batterer to know,
that violence is not the answer.
And please help him to understand.
that You are her only Master.
Lord how You can love the batterer,
this is something that I will never understand.
But I guess that is the very reason ,
that You gave Your life for man.
Lord I pray for the batterer,
for I know that You love him too.
Lord please help both of them to understand,
that deliverance can only come through You.
